I give body and light to dramaturgy.

I'm Marta Rodríguez Rojas (Barcelona, 2001), a set designer trained at the Institut del Teatre. I design the space where the play happens —and often its props, lighting and costumes too—, always starting from the text and the performer's body.

My commitment to scenography comes from the desire to bring bold, unrestricted visions to life: to show that anything can be recreated so that it doesn't just look real, but becomes something entirely different, with a visual and emotional impact that lasts.

I created the full staging of «Mecanoscrit del Segon Origen» (Teatre Romea) and of large-scale musicals such as «Come From Away», and collaborated on the world premiere of Jaume Plensa's «Macbeth» at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. I also work in film —as art director at ESCAC— and in installation and scenic construction.
